Issue over Photo Decorations - fh wants his friends but all the photos he sent me are drunk party pics.

Sasha, on August 17, 2019 at 11:04 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 10

My girlfriends threw me a really fun beachlorette Hawaiian themed brunch and we all entered a 5K run with matching tank tops and I blew up three of of the photos to 5*7, they are really colorful, have cute props, the ocean in the background and make for a great decorations on our sweets table.

When he saw I had my friends portrayed he wanted me to print some photos of his friends too, but sent me a bunch of photos of them in clubs, passed out drunk, random girls in the photos, etc. They are hardly the same as my cute colorful decorative photos and I don't want them on my sweet table (or anywhere). He sent me like 20 of them too, I only wanted the ones I've already printed, which are 1 engagement photo, one of him, me & his son, and the three with the bridesmiads. He asked me to put one of his mom where I am literally in mid chew of a hot dog. I'm so picky about my decorations, and I literally just want the photos I choose, printed, bought frames for, and was about to pack. How do I tell him his friends and family photos will not be displayed because they are not on theme? Am I being silly? Should I just put the photos I don't like up somewhere? Maybe somewhere other than the sweet table...

Just got an idea, I’ll make a cute scrap book & put it next to the guest book, all the photos will be there, but the cover will look good.

I can see your point totally, but he might be hurt that you include your friends and not his. I can see that too. I would ask him if he has any other photos that might be more wedding friendly and minus the random girls

Can you go through some more pictures of his friends and family? Is there time to add some cute photos (maybe over family dinner or having a night out with friends before they are super drunk)?

im not going to lie, I would find it super odd to go to a wedding and all of the photos are of the bride, the bridesmaids, and the brides family.

I agree with this. OP, did you take e-pics? This is a great place to display them.

I wouldn't say no, it's his wedding too. Maybe look for photos of his mom and friends that are more flattering.

I would think just be open and honest with him and discuss what you’re wanting these pictures to represent. Good luck!

I have to agree with this last part. A family member (male) got engaged last fall and on her FB page was a pic of her and of the ring. We were like, "Where is HE??" She later changed it.

I agree - let's get some non drunk ones out on the table.

I think the sweets table would be a weird place to put drunk photos!

Does he have photos at other events with his friends that are more appropriate? I agree though, it seems odd to have your BM and not his GM.
