Is this dress too dressy for my wedding?

I originally wanted to do a simple dress, but I tried on the fit and flare style dresses and I love the way they fit me. I fell in love with this dress! But I am worried that it is too "formal" for a small, outdoor ceremony. What do you think?

I don't think that the dress is too formal but I think you should consider the length based on your ceremony location/time of day. I assume you will be walking through grass which may still be wet in the morning. You could end up with grass stains on the bottom of your dress before you get to the reception and then anytime you look at your wedding pictures, your eye would be drawn to green grass spots (I don't think your guests would notice too much but I really think you would be aware of it!)

I tried on that same dress but I ended up going with another dress that is similar. I'm having an outside wedding in my backyard. Mine is "too formal" as well but I loved so I wearing it.

Like so many others, I agree - wear it if you love it! It looks great on you. I actually think it's not too formal at all for your wedding, as long as you feel comfortable in it.

The dress is beautiful. There is no such thing for too formal. The bride should simply wear what she loves. It's your special day and you should wear what makes you happy.
