Is this a bad idea? Decor question

Brittany, on January 23, 2020 at 5:44 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 8

So we're having the ceremony on an outdoor stage that's 12 feet high and 20 feet wide. Behind it is a school and playground and then some trees. We're trying to kind of hide the playground from pictures and we were thinking about renting like 9-10 6 foot tall ficus trees to put behind us and lining them with white lights.

Do you think this will look good or stupid? Any other ideas for how to hide the background a bit so the photographer doesn't have to do a bunch of weird angles?

Pipe and drape seems easier and more budget friendly. What are you going to do with all the trees once the ceremony is over?

I was just gonna rent them from the same company we're getting the other rentals from. Pipe and drape seem like it wouldn't match the green aesthetic as much though.

I like Caytlyn's idea. I honestly think that the ficus trees would look bad. They're indoor/office plants. You can do different fabrics for pipe and drape. It can be light and airy. Or you can rent an ivy wall or something to put behind y'al

This is my exact quandary. My other thought was renting drapery but using like fake vines instead of normal drapes because I think regular drapes might be too much of a stark difference.

Do you think your photographer can also just photoshop out the background?

I think that would look super pretty and a great way to hide the existing background. Smiley smile
