Is there a website/easy way to find venues that allow outside catering? (meaning we can pick our own)

Mamta, on January 3, 2017 at 11:21 PM Posted in Planning 0 7

My fiancé and I are from NJ but are trying to plan an Indian wedding outside of NJ. We are trying to find venues that allow outside catering (so that we can pick an Indian caterer of our choice). Does anyone have any recommendations or any advice on websites that would allow us to filter for venues that allow BYO caterers? We have a guest list of 300-325 and are looking for a weekend getaway that consists of a prewedding event, ceremony, reception, and brunch the day after somewhere by the mountains (such as Poconos or Catskills). So we are looking for a indoor venue that can hold at least 300 guests and maybe has access to accommodations.

Any advice would be appreciated!

You already have a thread going about this so I'm not sure why you posted again.

WeddingWire has an awesome vendor tab with venues and caterers in your area and it also gives reviews, websites, and contact info. I would start there.

This is the 3rd post I've seen of yours asking the same question.

I am too lazy to see if anyone has already suggested this on other threads you've apparently started but - find a caterer and ask them for recommendations for venues.

You might actually have to start contacting places and asking questions. A wedding is a complex event and requires generous effort.

You're going to want to look for banquet halls, city and county-owned buildings, and/or places like lodges.
