Is my dress too sexy?

Long story short...bought a wedding dress, fell in love, since then have gotten some comments about it being "sexy," now I have had constant doubts about me looking trashy, inappropriate, etc. Wedding is not in a church and it is not a religious ceremony, so that's not an issue. I have thought about getting another dress but my mom bought it for me and loves it and I feel like it would crush her. I'm not sure if I'm just self-conscious about other's comments, my own feelings about my body, or if now I just don't love the dress.

I LOVE it! But it is sexy because of the sheer panels. Rather than buying a new dress, if you do decide you want to be more modest, you could ask the store to add fabric panels to make it less sheer. I love it just like that. If it didn't bother you before and you felt comfortable before the comments, don't worry about it.

It looks beautiful! I actually have a very similar issue with my dress, it has almost the same cut and sheer spots on the side just like yours. I showed it to a friend and since there is a lot of lace her initial reaction was that it resembled lingerie. I know that she did not mean anything by it, but that is not the impression I want anyone to have, so I am hoping that having the sheer portions lined will help it drastically! I love my dress and I am extremely comfortable in it and I am not someone who typically dresses sexy. Just stick to what you like and what makes you happy!

It's a little trashy, but it looks amazing on you. If you're comfortable with it then go for it, if you're not sure just get a shawl or something that you can use to cover up a bit if you're feeling too exposed the day of.

I think that dress looks very nice on you. To me, there is nothing overly "sexy" about it. The important thing is that you love it!

You look AMAZING!! Your dress is beautiful. It kinda reminds me of my own. I LOVE the buttons!! If you're feeling a little uncomfortable about it, maybe see if you could get some fabric put in on the side part by your hips where if dips down and comes around the front. Or, see if there is some type of undergarment you can wear. Then you'll still have the open back and booty action but not feel so revealed.

You look gorgeous! It's all about what you're comfortable in and what makes you feel great. I don't think there's anything inappropriate about it.

I tried on this dress or maybe one very similar. I loved the sides! It's sexy but not over the top sexy. Flaunt it, girl!

I guess I can see where they might say that with the sheer sides, BUT it looks amazing and I honestly don't think your dress screams too sexy to wear for a wedding. It's beautiful and you look amazing in it!
