is it weird to sauter your rings before the wedding?

My jeweler made a good point when I was asking about getting my rings sodered together. They said it is safer for the rings to be together to avoid the rolling around/rubbing each other/clinking against, etc. that can occur. It helps alleviate the risk of diamonds falling out or the gold getting scratched. I still haven't decided what I'll do but it was a great point to consider!

I'm definitely getting mine soldered together, because the band will not stay upright and it's really annoying having to constantly turn them around. Plus, when they rub together it accelerates the yellowing of the white gold.

I say it's not weird to get it done before the wedding. I'm sure "most" brides don't, just because they usually don't even get a hold of the band until the wedding day. I'll probably do it before as well, so I can also take them both in for a cleaning to get nice and shiny for the day of

Mine are already soldered b/c they were my h2b grandmothers rings, my mom told me the best way to handle that was to wear them backward until the wedding (engagement ring on bottom-band on top) and then at the wedding have him put it on the right way with band on bottom.

I got mind soldered together and just got them back today. I have been wrestling with the idea of wearing them just because I want to and I kinda do my own thing. Haha but not wanting it to be bad luck... I don't really believe in the bad luck thing but is it strange to wear them together? I get married in a month.
