Is it Tacky to Use Fake Flowers?

Not tacky but not always inexpensive. The nice ones are worth the money.

I plan to do real bouquets and simple centerpieces, but fake alter arrangements since no one even gets that close to those. For baby's breath you may be better off going with fake because from what I've read here it smells gross in large quantities

I used fake for the entire wedding. A friend from work arranged all of them for me and they were gorgeous. Hubs and step son have bad allergies so it worked for us. Best part is my bouquet and alter arrangements are just as pretty today and on display in my home.

No, its not tacky! But I dont think you will save much. Fake flowers are just as expensive. Plus as another user pointed out babys breath is super cheap!
