Is it safe to plan a trip abroad for April 2021?

Hello Ladies and possibly Gents,

I am almost finished planning my wedding and the last piece is the honeymoon. My honeymoon would be set for the last week of April 2021. My dream has always been a beach on an island somewhere but I’m nervous that it would have to be cancelled. Does anyone know of the current restrictions in Jamaica and St. Lucia for US citizens? I’d hate to lose 100s of dollars on a deposit. 😩

It's hard to tell.
1. we don't know how covid will be by then
2. don't know how other countries would react to american tourists by then
i have a tentative domestic trip for april 2021 also but it's so tentative because we just don't know what the state of the world will be anymore

We were supposed to go to France in May 2020 and now will not reschedule at all for 2021. Fall 2021 seems like it could be ok, but who knows? I think spring 2021 will be too risky.

I wouldn’t plan unless it’s fully refundable and you’re fully accepting of the fact that you very well may have to cancel.

I wouldnt plan anything international for 2021 but anything domestic should be fine, and the Caribbean countries are fine because those have been accepting American tourists and operating normally for a while now
