I have 250 people and so far mine is budgeted at $8500. I'd say it's doable. I say use any resources you can.

For people who have a similar budget, I would be really interested in how you're managing.

That completely depends on where you live, what type of food you want to serve, if you are willing to buy a discounted dress, how many guests you are going to have etc. It is entirely possible as long as you chose to find vendors that are inexpensive and compromise a little here and there... you may have to trade in your idea of a $3000 wedding dress for a $300 one, for example.

Price everything at both your dream venues and your other good but less desirable options. Don't limit yourself to "wedding venues," you may find a beautiful community center that includes tables, chairs etc that can cut down on your expenses quite a bit. For example, my sister got married in a community center at a lake. It was very inexpensive, and the center offered beautiful views of the lake. If it rained they could stay indoors, thankfully it was sunny so they married in the lake pavilion instead. They did sacrifice having a large wedding hall and dancing, though. It all depends on what you are willing to sacrifice in order to keep within your budget.

Yes we've tasted them. Los Angeles is bustling with street tacos which usually go for about $1.25 each. And that will include them cooking there for us and having the dishes to hold the hot meat. The price is doable because the cost is meat, tortillas, cilantro, onion, and salsas which are all relatively cheap.

Yes. I had 134 people attend and we catered food - total was $7120.00 plus my wedding dress which I did not count since it was purchased a year earlier and the cost was split 3 ways - me and both moms
