Is it ok to ask you for how many ct’s is your engagement ring? And for the price and brand?

Sorry I’m not trying to be rude. I’m just curious to now about other girls rings. Also how much was it? The ring I want is almost 5000 dollars for 1 ct. Brand: Henry daussi and I don’t know if that’s a bit expensive for just 1 ct

That diamond is insane!! It's so big and beautiful Smiley love That is so awesome that your FH was willed the diamond from his Aunt. And i totally agree with you, check out local jewelry stores for sure. I have never heard of a jewelry store partnering with other businesses like bridal salons but that is awesome!!

I highly recommend going to a local jeweler to look at rings! If you've never tried diamonds on before, you definitely should. What I thought I wanted, I didn't like on my hand. We found an amazing jeweler near us who can custom make just about anything! I would say to go to at least try some things on, and get your ring size (if you haven't already). Show them the picture too, maybe they can make something similar or have something like it in stock ? Purchasing a diamond like that online would make me slightly nervous because you won't know what you're getting.

I have some helpful advice. Buy the setting, since someone on here said you can. Go to the rarecarat search engine and get a stone, based on the dimensions of the ring. You might up saving a few hundred bucks that can go towards your bouquet!

FH went to diamonds direct and looked at loose diamonds first. He picked a pear shape which is a little over 3cts then picked out the setting. The designer for the setting is Verragio and he paid around 50k.

    My diamond is a 1.23 G SI2 GIA certified.
With all excellent in polish, symmetry and cut. No fluorescence. It was $7010 for just the stone and the setting was $400 from Jared. The SI2 scared me a little bit but after inspecting under a microscope, and looking at the diamond in various light, it has no inclusions to the naked eye. I was able to pick out my diamond which I really enjoyed. We had to return the first one he proposed with because it wasn’t certified and that was important to me. Good diamonds are expensive but I’m so in love with my simple, classic ring.
