Is it normal to not get a signed contract back from Vendors after you sign and pay the deposit?

I'm trying to cut some costs for the wedding and hired a day-of coordinator. So I am going around looking for vendors myself. What I noticed, vendors would present me with a contract, I sign, send it back with the down payment, then I never got back a signed copy with their signature on. Should I be worried and be asking them for a signed copy by them?

I've been getting these contracts on my email. I printed it out, signed, and emailed it back to them. Should I be expecting them to return back a signed contract by them? It feels weird that I am holding on to these contracts with only my signature on them. Or is this normal?

Definitely ask for a signed contract back. Some vendors don’t think about how a contract isn’t just for them, it’s for you too!

I would contact them and tell them you never received the countersigned contract

Every one of my vendors have given me 2 copies one for me and one for them. And then I get a receipt as soon as I handed them the money. I feel like it's pretty basic and normal to get receipts from vendors

Yes, always ask for them to countersign and send you a final copy.
