Is it bad if i wear wedding shoes before the wedding?

Camille, on July 12, 2018 at 10:38 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 17
So I have found my wedding shoes and I love them so much! They are slightly on the casual side and I was thinking I could wear them ahead of time for various showers and pre-wedding festivities. Is that bad to do? Bad luck? I think it will help me break them in!

I wore mine to my rehearsal and I’m glad I did because they actually hurt when I first wore them, so on my wedding day they were broken into perfectly!

I don't think it will be bad luck. Just be careful not to wear then when it's muddy/ rainy so they don't get ruined or dirty.

I plan to do this too! Mine are just a nice nude color with a pretty scalloped pattern so I plan to wear them once or twice before hand for my shower/rehearsal dinner to break them in!

No. I think that's awesome! I am wearing heels and I'm going to wear them before so I can get used to walking in them!

That’s a great idea. My wedding shoes are a bit too extra to wear anywhere else so I’ve been breaking them in in my house. Your feet will thank you!

Definitely don’t think it’s bad luck to wear them before the wedding! My wedding shoes are ones I already had and have worn them a few times and also plan on wearing them to some events before the wedding.

I wore mine to work a bunch of times before the wedding to break them in. I’m actually really glad I did this because I originally bought a pair that ended up being insanely uncomfortable and I returned them, and I wouldn’t have known if I didn’t test them out before hand.

I think it's a great way to break them in. That way you know your feet won't be killing you in brand new shoes the day of. I plan on doing this as mine are sequin converse and I know I'll need to break them in a bit

I'd totally do that if I could! It's a great way to ensure they are broken in and comfortable for your wedding. Go for it unless it's rainy/muddy out.

I also agree, I will be wearing my shoes for all the wedding events as well, I need to break them in and get padding because I want to dance!

I don’t believe it’s bad luck or anything but probably ideal to do that so you can break them in. I plan to wear mine around the house about the week before to break them in.
