Is anyone using RSVPify or another online RSVP site? Facebook Event Page?

Monica, on October 13, 2016 at 9:14 PM Posted in Planning 0 30

Hi all! I'm new to WW and hoping I can get some feedback from all of you lovely ladies about online RSVP sites. I am a LONG ways away, but want to get some feedback as I'm beginning my research. I hear stories all the time about how a lot of people don't RSVP on time - I was thinking that an online RSVP site like RSVPify would be easier for people - I do plan to send paper invites. Most of our guest list is tech-savvy but I think I am still going to send RSVP cards as well for the not so tech savvy invitees.

Has anyone done this? Who did you use & would you recommend? Thanks all!

I used the Knot for my wedding website and RSVPs. It took about 1-2 hours to put everyone's names in there but it was easy after that. They have a seating chart tool I was able to use the names for that too.

You can also enter entree choices and assign people to parties so Mr and Mrs Smith can RSVP together.

    I ordered business cards from

Vistaprint for $9.99 and wrote "kindly RSVP by Aug 20 at www.website.com" and included it with invite.

I used www.txtrsvp.com in addition to paper reply cards and the option on our wedding website. I wanted to give people as many options as possible because it can be difficult to get answers from people! I had 22 responses from the txtrsvp option- I feel like it helps a lot with the younger crowd. However, I had a few people that thought they RSVPd through the texting option and I never got it (they didn't enter the numbers/info correctly).

I added the info for txtrsvp on the reply cards as well as the website. Its about $20 a month so I'm not sure that it would be worth it to everyone, I just really wanted to get as many answers as possible!

I created my website through Squarespace and they have specific website designs for weddings. They have an RSVP function. I will be mailing my invitations but only doing online RSVP. I think in this day and age, online only is perfectly acceptable.

You could also only have a few RSVP cards printed for those who you think wouldn't be able to RSVP online. Then you can save some money as well.

I used RSVPify for online RSVPs, but used paper invitations sent by regular mail. I embedded the RSVPify form in my Wix wedding website. I RSVP'D for my grandparents and added a phone number just in case, but everyone else sent their RSVP online by the website. Be sure to use a guest list and set the +1's...my sister did a more open RSVP, and a couple people decided that they would go ahead and add their own +1. Smiley winking

I would strongly urge not to use facebook. One of my friends did that and the accuracy was terrible.

People view facebook events as very casual. Many people say they are "going" when the event posts, then forget about it. They don't update if the status changes. There is also no way to enforce when the RSVP needs to be submitted.

I'm sending out the traditional wedding invites via mail & having my guest RSVP on our wedding website since everyone is always on their phone/tablet/computer anyways. More convenient in my eyes!

I created a website but am including the RSVP will be done through WW since I started the guest list and made the RSVP a closed guest list so that only the guests I have can rsvp instead of the horror of guests adding whomever they want.

I tried other rsvp websites like Google Forms and Eventbrite, but because I wanted a closed guest list, WW and The Knot were the two best options.

We're doing ours on Wedding Wire. You can give +1s to your single guests by adding "Guest" to their household. When people search for their name, they can RSVP for their whole household. If you're doing plated meals or are offering a kid's meal, you can add entrées to the RSVP. Guests get a confirmation email after they RSVP. We're working with a wedding planner, and I'm told we can give her access to our Wedding Wire account so everyone is on the same page.

We decided to do the old fashioned way and have guests send back their pre stamped rsvp post cards. We know that we may have some extra legwork associated with it and some may get lost in the mail, etc but we love the idea of doing it that way.

Please don't use Facebook. That's tacky AF, can easily lead to other people being invited to your wedding without your consent, and greatly brings down the formality of your event.

In the interest of cost savings, I created a new email address and asked people to RSVP through that, and printed it on the invite.

I did do the fb private event rsvp. It is working out well for me. Everyone that said yes I am sure they will be there and I can even see that they saw the event even if they didn't respond to it. I can also answer the rsvp if they let me know without actually marking yes or no or maybe.

We're using Wedding Wire for our website and RSVPs, so far so good.

DO NOT us Facebook!!!! It's tacky for your wedding and people are more likely to extend your invite to others.

I wouldn't suggest using Facebook for RSVPs. The online is fine if you want to do that; I am doing it the traditional snail mail way.

We used the tool on this website ... We just sent invites out a couple of days ago and people are already replying!! All my college friends liked it. I also included my phone number and FH's grandma called that. Even people call I just go on the website and RSVP for them Smiley smile

The online way seems to be working and it cut our postage in half ... The only thing is it was time consuming to enter all the guests into wedding wire ... But now I have an orgainized list haha Smiley smile

I loved getting the RSVP for our guests back in the mail. DH and I would take turns going to the mailbox. It's the little things, but we enjoyed it!

Not everyone uses computers. So no to online RSVPing and no to facebook events. I set up a wedding website and I am constantly getting phone calls about the event because some of our guests do not use the computer/internet. It's frustrating but it is what it is. You do you though. If you have a lot of guests, I can understand the reason behind online RSVPing to help save costs on stamps.
