is anyone else attending their own cocktail hour...?

Usually thats when you get your pictures done.

If you are all taking your photos before hand, then I dont think it would be weird to be present in your cocktail hour!

We have a lot of pictures scheduled beforehand, so we're doing family pictures during the cocktail hour and even with that we'll still have an hour left! It's kinda crazy!

We're going to our cocktail hour since we're doing our pictures before hand. (or at least we're planning on going) It'll give us time to mingle with our guests and to thank them for coming, so we won't have to do it during dinner.

We are going down to the wine cellar of the restaurant and then coming back up and joining our cocktail hour. I don't want to miss out on the food! I say join if you want to.

We're getting most photos done before the wedding, though some after because of the sunset. I expect us to be able to come in with around 15 minutes left in cocktail hour. I'm looking forward to it!

You bet we are! we are going to be doing photos during a chunk of cocktail hour but we are working it so that we can still attend for 20 and mingle with guests and get some quick snacks

I'm hoping we get to go to ours for at least a bit...we have acoustic music playing during it and I didn't get to have a band for the whole reception, so I'd love to hear a little live music. I love live music...

And of course to mingle! My venue brings us snacks and drinks while we do pics, but I want as much time as possible with guests!

We're doing most of our pictures beforehand - taking any that we might not have had time for during cocktail hour. But our plan is to attend. Our apps are delicious and I'm going to want to eat them Once everyone moves into the reception for dinner we'll do our grand entrance. I don't think it'll be weird.

Our cocktail hour is on the lawn of our venue, so I'm hoping to pop in and play a hand at horseshoes or kanjam if I can.

Were going to try to get there by 6:30 our cocktail hour is from 6-7. Mainly because I'm paying for those apps, I want to eat some!

We won't be . We have way too big families so that will take a while, plus I'm going to have to run back to the changing room to change back into my American dress from my Thai dress for the pictures. We're going to try to get all the wedding party pictures before the ceremony so maybe we will end up having a tiny bit of time.

We are skipping the part about being introduced at the reception. No point in that if we are already there. I always thought that was silly anyways.

I think our guests will really enjoy having more time to talk to us since many of our family members we haven't talked to in a while.

Yes! we're paying for the food and want to eat it!! (and drink a little, thank everyone, , hear the music we are so carefully selecting). pics are before. I HATE missing cocktail hours esp. when you're a bridesmaid. It's such a long day and I love cocktail hour food! usually more than the dinner meal... yum.

I hope to make some of it. We had planned on doing family photos ahead of time but the more I worked on doing it I wasn't sure we could get everyone together before the wedding (in a smooth way that wouldn't be stress filled) so we are doing family photos after the receiving line...if their is time I plan to join in the cocktail hour.
