is anyone else attending their own cocktail hour...?

So! We have almost an hour during the cocktail hour that we'll be doing nothing essentially...and it seems as if we have a lot of down time already throughout the day! Should we go & mingle with guests during the cocktail hour? & If we do that, would it be weird when we get formally introduced into...

So! We have almost an hour during the cocktail hour that we'll be doing nothing essentially...and it seems as if we have a lot of down time already throughout the day! Should we go & mingle with guests during the cocktail hour?

& If we do that, would it be weird when we get formally introduced into the reception?

    We finally agreed to do a first look so we can spend more time with guests and enjoy our cocktail hour. All photos are being taken before the ceremony and then I have a quick dress change and then a few additional photos. We planned our cocktail hour for an hour and half actually so we should be able to enjoy a full hour with guests before dinner starts. Looking forward to that time to mingle!

    We are! We are doing photos first and I don't want to miss anything. Plus our wedding party is just our four kids and I'd rather hang out with our guests! We are paying for this food- I want to get to eat it! We will probably take a few minutes towards the end to go up to the bridal sweet and take a breather before we get introduced.

    We are taking our pictures during that time. However, if we finish early, we will mingle with our guests during the cocktail hour.
