Is a halter wedding dress uncomfortable? 2

Hi ladies! Has anyone worn a high neckline halter wedding dress? I tried on a dress that I really liked. The halter itself was lace and very itchy. The sales person said that a seamstress can place a lining to make it more comfortable. However, I’m concerned that wearing the dress all day can be heavy and uncomfortable on my neck. Can anyone share their experience wearing a halter wedding dress? Thank you!

I wore one extremely similar to yours (it did have a full back tho) and it was not itchy or uncomfortable at all! I was outside in the heat too! I’ve heard of others who had my dress placing lining in the neck area, I just didn’t personally do it. I know I did have red marks on my neck every time I tried it on or went in for alterations haha. But it never felt itchy on my actual wedding day.

I say if you absolutely love it and can’t live without this dress, a seamstress will 100% be able to help you

Hi Alison! Did the dress feel heavy when you tried it on?? Because of the fabric and sleek silhouette I think you might be fine on that front!
I agree with Bird - a seamstress will be able to help you out with this dress!! Whether it's dry cleaning or steaming the lace to help it relax a little, or adding a lining - they work miracles!
