WAY TOO COLD. Think of how many women will be in sleeveless dresses and may not own a dressy jacket. That'll be a no from me.

Dont think that would be a good idea. I wouldnt be focusing on your ceremony. I would be looking for ways to stay warm.

I'm having mine on Saturday and only our reception is outside and it starts at 5. I personally don't think it's too cold just for a ceremony but for the reception maybe consider renting heaters for your reception

Way too cold. So uncomfortable! Plus you never know if your guests have any health issues. I can't imagine making my grandparents coming to my wedding and sitting out side in in 50 degree weather! Think about your guests. Being someone who is always cold, and also pregnant, there's absolutely 0 chance I would stay at an outdoor wedding if it was that cold. Second PPs that I would take my $$ from the card and leave to go out to dinner with H.

Women's formal wear isn't known to be warm. Move it indoors.

@tori that is incredibly rude and selfish. I wouldn't even show up for your ceremony. Some people have disease (myself and my mom included) who cannot be in the cold. Did you think of that? And we don't tell our families about it so no one in our family probably even knows we have it other than our immediate ones and a few close friends.

Wow...55-60 degrees! We actually call that fall and spring here in New England Smiley smile But I wouldn't sit through a wedding in it (or have a ceremony outside after dark for that matter)...I know my grandmother wouldn't appreciate sitting in the cold. I can't imagine that pictures of the ceremony would come out very good either unless you had some well placed lighting.

I was in a wedding in April that was outside. It was 55 degrees and sunny - luckily we had long dresses! The guests had their jackets on and it was a pretty quick ceremony so even though in the video you can literally see the bridesmaids shivering, I think it was worth it and none of the guests complained. But after the sun goes down sounds a bit more risky. Even at the same temp, it will feel colder.

@knb2016 where are you located? I didn't think it would be too cold for the quick ceremony but maybe I need to rethink it

I am anemic. I would literally have be shivering so hard that it would probably be louder than your officiant.

It is in the high 60s at night where I live and people are already wearing jackets and sweatshirts.

Don't do this. It is truly a terrible idea.

I would personally MUCH rather have it be 60 than 85+. Here in Minnesota 60 is tshirt weather for most people.

BUT, since the sun will be down and the temp will be cooling off it would probably be pretty uncomfortable for a lot of guests.
