Is 15 too young to be a Bridesmaid?

Hi All! I'm new to this and need advise for Wedding next year? I want to ask my little cousin (who will be 15 in Feb) to be a Bridesmaid, do you think that would be appropiate? (The rest of my bridal party will be 29 and 36. Also can someone please tell me what all the abbreviations stand for too? ...

My FHs neices are 17 and 13 and will be bridesmaids. We did talk with their parents first to make sure they were okay with the idea, since they'll be paying for their daughters dresses.

It depends on what you want your bridesmaids to do. If you're primarily looking to have them stand beside you on the day, they can be any age. If you want someone that will go out for a bachelorette that is a drinking binge with penis hats at your local bars, she's too young. I personally would recommend the former, but it's up to you.

My 12 yo niece was my Jr. BM. I asked her mom (my SIL) before I asked my niece. Her younger two daughters (my nieces) were my flower girls. They live across the country. They didn't attend any pre-wedding events (I wouldn't have invited kids to my bachelorette party anyway, lol).

I was a bridesmaid (not Jr.) at 15.

Not too young at all. I've been being a BM since I was about 5.

(At 15 she may very well be a bit slightly put out by being called a junior bm.)

My 14 year old sister was a bridesmaid. Not a jr. bm...just a bridesmaid. She came to my bachelorette. We all drank (besides her) and had a great time.

I was a junior bridesmaid in my aunt's wedding when I was 12.

You know the 15 year old better than anyone. if you think she can handle herself then go for it!

I know a lot of 15 year old that would be more mature than some 30 year old bridesmaids.
