Invitation Wording Help.

Instead of "reception to follow" (it implies immediately after) I would just say "reception 7:00pm"

Right now it reads like this: “Together with their families, request the honor of your presence at the wedding of Gwen Noel White and Kyle David Bickham” which doesn’t make a lot of sense. Also, “request the honor of your presence” is usually only used for church weddings, but it really doesn’t matter that much (in my opinion).

What about this instead:

together with their families (or just take this out completely)
Gwen Noel White and Kyle David Bickham
request the pleasure of your company
as they are united in marriage
August 23, 2019
at three in the afternoon

Are you planning to do reception cards or list reception information on the back of the invite? If so, that makes is easy. I would put “Please see reception information on the back of the invitation” or “Please see reception card for additional reception information.” This is especially important if the two events are not at the same location.

Yeah. I didnt like the way it was. This just happened to be the sample wording on the site.
