I would like our 20 guests to arrive at our house early so they can have a snack, get family portraits taken, & socialize. I'll come out with FI after our bridal portraits are done & we'll socialize for a bit too, then we'll just wander over to the designated area in the backyard & exchange vows by dusk (about an hr after everyone gets there). After that we'll make our way to a restaurant for a nice dinner reception.
Considering it'll be semi-formal, should I do the fancy long form (third of September, two thousand twelve), or should I do the shorter form (September 3rd, 2012)? The long form will look better on our invitations we want (at least, I suspect it will), but it might be silly given how informal the actual ceremony will be.
To help you get an idea: this will be our invitation that I'm going to order from weddingpaperdivas http://tinyurl.com/6qdd8qw
Upside of short form to me is it leaves more space for more info, but I'd love your opinion before I order them. Thanks!
