Intimate/small wedding ideas ♡

Annabelle, on September 20, 2019 at 4:54 PM Posted in Planning 1 10
Hi ♡

My fiance and I arent really big on having all eyes on us. We dont care to have an extravagant or big wedding but we do want something nice and memorable. So we both decided to have something small and more intimate with our close family and friends.
Anyone have any ideas they'd like to share.
Any small venue ideas.
Please share.
Thanks in advance 🙏💞

We had a tiny DW (destination wedding) at a resort in Napa, CA, which had a cool wine cave we used for the dinner reception. No DJ/band/dancing but we did have solo musicians for the ceremony & cocktail hour.

What kind of wedding do you want???? You have lots of flexibility with a small guest list. Courthouse ceremony followed by a brunch at a restaurant, or cake & punch reception at home if you wish. A nice resort or hotel might have a cost-effective ceremony package for a Sun-Thur wedding, then you could treat guests to a nice dinner in a private room at their restaurant.

We had our intimate wedding at a historic mill/inn and other places we considered were other historic areas/gardens/museums. I would definitely keep some of those venue options in mind when looking for a place! Or google small wedding venues - because they are so small, you can find some nice deals on all inclusive packages! We only had 34 people, so skipped the dancing and brought party games instead! We also did as much diy as possible, because there wasn't a ton needed and also because our guests were our family and closest friends - it was okay with us if things weren't 100% perfect, and we were able to keep the tone casual throughout the ceremony and reception. Definitely not a typical wedding, but so much fun!

We are having a small intimate wedding of only like 40 people. We found a small bakery/restaurant that has a beautiful gazebo in the back. It seats 50 and all we have to is show up. No dj. We are bringing a Bluetooth speaker to play music for our first dance or if people (i bet mostly the kids lol) . But that gazebo has speakers installed so they'll be music playing while we eat. Also bringing some games and im printing out customize coloring pages for the kids. We just want something simple. Everyone knows each other so the guest will be able to entertain to each other lol

I found some on etsy and got a bunch of crayon packs for like 25 cents during the summer. U should look at that. Itll have your wedding date and they customize it to look like you and your fh. Too cute

We had only a dozen people. We had our wedding at a tiny synagogue (it was a converted house), and then took everyone to lunch at the private dining room of a nearby restaurant.

We are having an intimate non-denominational ceremony of 17 (we are two different religions and it was just easier) and then brunch immediately following in late March 2020. I did digital Save the Dates and am DIYing my invitations.

Our venue is a small cottage that is a restored 1920's house...the owners flipped it and made it a cottage for events. Maybe do a google search for something like that?
