Intimate Wedding Venues Dallas/Fort Worth area

Martha, on September 5, 2014 at 11:53 PM Posted in Planning 0 7

I am trying to find an intimate venue in Dallas/Fort Worth area that will serve as the ceremony and reception site. Our wedding is in April 2015 with a 30 - 50 guests.

Any suggestions?

We had 42 guests. Our ceremony was held at Rose Chapel in Fort Worth and our reception was in Dallas. We rented out a private room at Del Frisco's. Both have event coordinators who are happy to help. Rose Chapel has reception space available, we just opted to have our reception elsewhere. They also have special rates for smaller weddings.

Del Frisco's had a food/beverage minimum, but everything was included. They were very accommodating and allowed our florist to come in early and set up as well as our baker to deliver the cake. They also put out all our linens and centerpieces (I bought upgraded linens but they do have basic linens available for free). Maybe a nice restaurant reception? We hired a band and that allowed us nice dinner music as well as a first dance and a father/daughter dance.

The Flour Mill in McKinnley is beautiful and can hold both ceremony and receptions...a friend of mine got married there a couple years ago and although I couldn't go, the pictures were stunning

There is a gorgeous venue in Frisco called Stonecreek Terrace, we were THIS close to having the wedding there--but opted out of an outdoor wedding. It would be perfect for a group that size if you want a garden style setting--and its not super expensive.

There are also some nice Bed and Breakfasts in the area that hosts smaller weddings. Granbury has a ton of them--it really depends on how close to DFW you want to stay.

Time Ten Wine Cellars in both Ft. Worth and Dallas have rooms for ceremony and reception. You can bring in any catering vendor you like. Times Ten provides a licensed bartender who will serve Times Ten wines and any beer or liquor you bring in.

We had 50-ish guests at our wedding at had it at The Tribute Golf Club in The Colony. I was worried the room would be too big for our crowd but it really wasn't and they were amazing to work with. They have packages that include food and alcohol and included in everything are rooms for the bridal party as well as the groomsmen to get ready, a day-of-coordinator and a room to stay in for the night if you want to stay out there. It was perfect for us!

Here are some other places that I checked out during our venue hunt that you might consider:

Gather in downtown McKinney - http://gathermckinney.com/

Royal Affairs Ballroom in Lewisville - http://www.royalaffairs.com/

And this sounds strange I know - but the El Fenix in downtown Dallas has an event space up on their top floor with a rooftop terrace. Here's a write-up from a bride who did her wedding and reception there: http://mrandmrscwedding.weebly.com/our-day.html

    Good luck!!
