Instead of cheese/fruit and cracker trays for appetizers... this could be fun? Opinions please.

Ok, so I just came up with this idea and I'm wondering if it's too crazy or ppl will think I'm being cheap or just not like it. I'm not doing it to be cheap b/c it'll cost me about the same as doing cheese/fruit/cracker trays for appetizers, but I think it's too cute. My ceremony starts @ 6, and...

I'm not doing it to be cheap b/c it'll cost me about the same as doing cheese/fruit/cracker trays for appetizers, but I think it's too cute. My ceremony starts @ 6, and dinner is being served @ 8pm. In between the BP will be taking pics and stuff- but in bewteen would it be enough snacks to have a pop-corn machene and little bags of pop-corn during the cocktail hour? Or if I did that, should I serve something else w/it- but what? What do you guys think?

I think the skewers and cups are super cute, but if you're planning to do all of the prep yourself, I would save your sanity and go with simple, even if it feels blah. If you stress yourself out, you might feel frazzled and blah, which would be way worse. Smiley smile

I bet there are ways to display things really easily but in a very cute way that does not look blah..........can you use cake stands or tiered servers? I think those make anything look more exciting.

Oooh love the PBJs as a late night snack. Maybe even with a little glass jug of milk. You could even do a couple variations - like PBJ, banana nutella, etc. Nom.

And your menu sounds pretty sweet and spectacular to me!

That is SUPER cute- LOVE the variation of the pb&j's! And I could just get a cart of those little milk boxes or jugs to go w/them. I REALLY love that. I am def doing this now. Smiley smile

I love the PB&J idea. Anything in miniature form is always a hit. You could even serve little shots of milk with it.

Why not do a skewer theme, cheese and sausage ones would be awesome... the different flavors of pop corn is great too! Don't over think it... people will hopefully just be having a great day/evening with family and friends.

if you do the cotton candy check out http://flosszone.com/ I tought they had great prices.

You could always try putting different levels on the table, and putting the cheeses and fruits around it. You could use a bread bowl to put the dip in.

You can do the skewers and put them into red cabbage. It would be colorful

Love the popcorn idea but would ditch the cotton candy in favor of fruit
