Initial guest list count - Estimate?

Our venue's limit was 150, so we kept it right around that number. I think we ended up with 125 attending.

Our list is at 170, but our venue maxes out at 150. I am trying to convince FH/my parents to cut the list a bit more so we don't risk running out of room, but I think they want to risk it. We'll see what happens. We started out with about 175. Funny enough, we have taken some people off, but others have been added, so it made no difference. We could add a LOT more, but we don't have the space (thank goodness).

We initially thought of having 100 people. Made our list of who we really want, and it's like 85 people. But parents want to invite family that are out of the country as a courtesy. Well if they do decide to come, the venue allows for 130. So we should have plenty room is everyone decides to come

We started with 120 and were at 114 before RSVP's.. thank god. the less the better

@Jenna - Wow! I can't believe all that. 3 hours is not a far drive. We are in Texas too. And having to travel 5 hours ourselves. and mostly all of FH family and all of our Friends will too. And WTF about your matron of honor. I'm sorry to hear that crap. I have a BM doing that to me as we speak. So i feel you. Well i love your IDGAF attitude about it all. You guys will have a beautiful intimate and wonderful wedding without those haters. LOL

We sort of did it the opposite way. Most people make a guest list of everyone they'd like to invite and plan from there. We booked the venue for 75 people and pick and chose a list from there. We invited immediate family and then just filled in the slots.

Started with a goal of 120, invited 175 (that is just our immediate family, aunts, uncles and first cousins and friends and no plus one's). I'm a little worried because with a bridal party of 8 bridesmaids and 8 groomsmen and our space only holding 120--- yikes! It is about 4 hours away from the majority of my family so we'll see. My attitude: everything is going to work out perfectly, whoever is supposed to come will be there!

@kirsten - I wish I would've done it that way! If anyone asks then we could've said "sorry, no room" lol

Our estimate was 150 and we are at 147 invitees so pretty darn close!

We wanted somewhere around 50, but thought it could be closer to 60 if everyone who said they were coming did, but now it's looking like we will end up somewhere between 47-53 out of 86 invites. This is also for a DW.

We wanted to keep it at 100 and are at 132, hoping with RSVP's we will be back down to 100-110.

We started with only inviting 30 people, but ended up inviting 50. We opted for the larger room.

Who even knows 400 plus people? Wow!

Started at 100, list grew to 250, hoping for 170. Somehow this is wishful thinking. About 200 will turn up.
