Inexpensive Wedding Venues Tampa Area

Luz, on May 22, 2016 at 5:47 PM Posted in Planning 0 10

Hi everyone! I am recently engaged and have just started looking at wedding venues in the Tampa/Orlando/Sarasota area. We really want a place that is romantic and intimate as we are only planning to have about 60 guests max. We are also hoping to have it be inexpensive to rent.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hi Luz! Have you check out WeddingWire's Venues tab? You can find lots of listings for your area there. And if you will add the area you're looking for in the title of your post, you'll probably get more responses.

And this is off the subject, but when you get a chance, make sure to customize your avatar. Make this a photo of you, something unique to you, your wedding or something you love. This makes it easier for other members to remember who you are as you make new connections. It won't work from the app, but you can change it from a computer or from the desktop version of the site through your mobile browser. (Settings > Profile and Privacy Settings > Account Image > Change Image > Upload > Update Profile Settings)

Lion's Club in St. Pete. Ybor City Museum. Clearwater Rec Center.

These are all places where you will need to bring all vendors and decor. If you are going for more inclusive the Rusty Pelican is reasonable. St. Pete Museum of History was 1500 to rent and one of the caterers was around 28 pp for food. Booze was about 15 pp. You would have to supply chairs, linens, etc. I almost used them but I'm not the type of person to coordinate all of the vendors and rentals so I went more inclusive.

I'm getting married at the Grand Plaza. It's a bit more but has quite a bit included. And a gorgeous view. There is a food and beverage minimum. With 85 people I am meeting it so with 60 it would be harder unless you upgraded the buffet and booze.

Definitely CL space.... I ended up going with Nova 535 in St Pete, but we are having closer to 80 and decided that CL space would just be too tight. It's a decent, raw space, though, with exposed brick and high ceilings. There's also the Rialto in Ybor.... I didn't end up checking out because we fell in love with Nova, but it seemed pretty and unique, and I don't think it's terribly pricey. Smiley smile

Seminole Heights Garden Center in historical Seminole Heights, old brick building with great big windows, a great lawn. It's rented through the city I believe but it's around $600 for 4 hours.

Try the Tampa garden club and Tampa/st. Pete women's club. I loved the st. Pete women's club but FH didn't. It is kind of old ladyish.

We ended up booking Le Meridien. We decided to do a lunch time ceremony and reception. If you don't mind a day time wedding the food and beverage minimum isn't bad.

The crown plaza off west shore isn't bad either.

I booked with the dolphin beach resort on St pete beach. They have multiple rooms you can use for varying sized parties and they only charge per head. No rental charge unless you plan on having the ceremony inside. If you have the ceremony on the beach, no charge.
