Indoor Locations for Wedding Party Photographs in Columbus, Ohio

Samantha, on June 11, 2015 at 10:25 AM Posted in Planning 0 6

Hi everyone!

My fiance and I are getting married in Columbus, Ohio on October 3rd and are in desperate need of an indoor location for wedding party photographs. Unfortunately, the statehouse isn't available that day (so bummed) but I'm needing other locations now.

I know of Franklin Party Conservatory (which I believe charges a hefty fee) and also Ohio Union (my future husband and I are not OSU alums or big fans so we are trying to avoid too much OSU). Other than that I'm stuck.

Any suggestion is appreciated! Thank you!

I wish I could help, but I'm not familiar with Ohio ...

Any Ohio couples or vendors out there with some ideas??

I am from Ohio and spent 15 years in a village 25 miles west of Columbus. The arts museum and then there is the Hilliard Historical Society in Hilliard, Ohio. It is on the Franklin County Fairgrounds. They have an old church and old stores. They have an old covered bridge also. Homestead Park is in Hilliard and it is drop dead gorgeous. Call the theatres and see what they will charge just to take pictures. Call parks and recreation to see what they can offer you. Goodall Park is in the middle of town and is very pretty and they have enclosed rooms. The Westin Hotel that is located right down town is stunning. The parks in German Village are very pretty. There is another park right on the river in Columbus, Ohio. It use to be where they docked the replica of Santa Maria (Christopher Columbus's boat). Don't go across the bridge. That is the ghetto called the "Bottoms". Good Luck and happy planning.

Thanks Maggie! We are actually having our reception at the Makoy Center with is in Old Hilliard (I believe near the Historical Society). I'm trying to find more of an indoor venue for the pictures in the event that it rains (always have a backup plan) Smiley smile.

Indoor is difficult LOL Hilliard is a nice town. We did most of our shopping in Hilliard when we lived in West Jefferson. I was just trying to give you options of everything I knew of. Good luck and I hope that you get a nice beautiful day for your wedding.
