Now that fall is upon us, and my favorite holiday is right around the corner, let's talk 'black'… are you incorporating this color into your wedding palette at all? If so, how? Is in a more traditional sense (i.e., tuxedos) or have you taken a more non-traditional route (i.e., black wedding dress)? Bonus points for pictures!
I actually love black as well but always envision a white on white wedding. I was able to incorporate black very slightly on the center pieces of our rectangular table as well as groomsman tux. I did a lot more of white, silver, clear, mirror in the end but some black. Husband wanted a black tux at first but our venue was just stunning for the blue we picked in the end so we did the contrast.
Our wedding colors were black and red with silver and blush as accent colors. The groomsmen worn black tuxes and my dad The tables for our guests' were white tablecloths with black layovers. I wanted floor length black tablecloths, but my husband didn't like that idea. The tables for our sand ceremony, escort cards, guest book, message in a bottle, candy bar, favors, wedding cake, and the table we used for our laptop that displayed a slideshow of us were black floor length black tablecloths. We also provided flip flops that were black, red and silver for anyone that wanted to change shoes. Our card box looked like a mini house and it was gray, the windows and roof were black and the door was red. My husband changed into black converses after our first dance whiile I worn white converses for the entire wedding. Some of the candy we had was black. I had wanted the groomswoman to wear black, but my husband veoted that idea because he wanted her to wear the same dress as the bridesmaids. Our programs were black, white, and blush. I also did a photo of me with my bridesmaids/bridesman where we threw confetti and the confettin black and blush. Black is one of my favorite colors because it matches everything. I also think it is a very elegant color. My friend is getting married in June and black is one of his wedding colors as well.
Black is my all time favorite color, so it's the main color in the wedding. All the wedding party and groom are in black (I almost was). Our venue is very dark with black tables, linens, etc. My cake will be black, and some of my flowers are. Our cake design is attached.
I love black as a color... we had the colors black, gold, & blush. Here is how we incorporated: our cake, our linens, our table names, and more background things. My husband also wore black on black and the groomsmen were in traditional black/white. Hope this helps!
