In-person and zoom wedding invitations

Annie, on July 20, 2020 at 12:43 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 3
We got engaged in February and are getting married in our backyard on October 24. Due to COVID we are only inviting 25 guests in person. I already sent paper invitations with a link to our wedding website to RSVP to these guests.

We will have a larger celebration later when it is safe.

My parents want us to send paper invites to a larger guest list to attend via Zoom. I will post the Zoom link on the wedding website closer to the wedding date. How do I word the invitations this way?
Also, how do I make it clear on the website that the RSVP function is for the in person guests and the zoom link will be available prior to the wedding? Do I even need to worry about the RSVP function?

"__ and __ will be married in an intimate ceremony on __. You are invited to witness their ceremony via Zoom..."

I would wait to post the link until closer to the wedding when the RSVP function should already be shut down or removed.

Hi Annie! It might be easier to send out zoom invitations that don't even reference your wedding website, so they don't get confused with that RSVP or wedding information! You could just send them the zoom link or that a link will be emailed to them closer to the event!

Also here's another post with a good wording example you can check out: Zoom wedding invitation wording?
