I’m so self conscious!

So I’m super self conscious about my tummy in my dress. No workouts/diets seem to be doing anything because I bloat really badly. In this picture is a little worse than normal because I had just ate a ton but I can’t wear spanx because my dress is backless, low and see through on the sides and back....

I’ve even considered taping my tummy down or just keeping my bouquet and hands in front the entire day. Any advice? cfb_1403415.jpg

Thanks for all the help ladies! And the detachable trains are beautiful, I might look into it and have the seamstress do a panel in the back

I’m currently on low carb and low calorie and I’ve kind of worked out that veggies and some fruits are good for me. Gluten caused a flare up and bloated me so bad, I need to figure out what other triggers I have because even on the low carb diet I’m still bloating and feel heavy! Thanks for all of the advice ❤️

You might want to see a doctor--it could be inflammation (IBS, endometriosis, etc)

Worst case scenario, spanx will smooth the lines of your dress.

I would suggest some self love strategies. Talking positively to yourself about your body. No negative language. I assume you're getting married to someone who loves you for who you are so no matter what you wear you look beautiful. All that matters is that you eat healthy and exercise.

Try on spanx anyway you can get a nude color you wont be able to see. They have so many varieties that go to different height. Some start at thighs, and end like high waisted jeans. Otherwise change your dress or try a different diet. There is always a way it's just a matter of finding it.

You look gorgeous in it! I actually tried that dress on and didn’t buy it for the exact reason you’re having an issue. They do sell shapewear that’s like a one piece bathing suit with no panty lines and a low back that can smooth everything out without showing any lines!

I have the exact same doubts about my body. I think there are a couple routes you can take.

    1. Get a dress that made me less self conscious about my potential bloat (or even if I'm looking relaxed in a photo it might look a bit poochy!) I ultimate did this and picked one that is more flowy and covers my lower stomach area. Ruching also helps with this. Do consider that you could resell your dress on multiple sites if you choose this route.

    2. Eat really really clean. Try out a juice or smoothie cleanse. Start eating way more veggies early so you body can adjust to processing them. Even if you don't drop a drastic amount of weight, just having a couple weeks of clean eating behind you can make you feel more trim and together.
