I’m so self conscious!

Blaine, on June 27, 2020 at 12:36 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 48
So I’m super self conscious about my tummy in my dress. No workouts/diets seem to be doing anything because I bloat really badly. In this picture is a little worse than normal because I had just ate a ton but I can’t wear spanx because my dress is backless, low and see through on the sides and back. I’ve even considered taping my tummy down or just keeping my bouquet and hands in front the entire day. Any advice? I’m so self conscious! 1

That's how I've been feeling too. FH and I decided to finally just get a personal trainer a few times a week who is also a nutritionist so we'll also be getting weekly meal plans.

My dress is also see through in the back so no shape wear for me either. I'm gonna follow this in case someone else does have any advice.

You need to eat clean. No processed foods! Stick with salads, low calorie dressing, fruits and veggies and try to stay under 1500 calories per day. Also for exercise, I recommend CHLOE TING. She's an exercise YouTuber with about 11 million subscribers. Try her two week shred challenge, then choose the 30 day flat belly or 28 Flat tummy challenge afterwards.

I've done Chloe Ting's workouts for about 6 weeks now and I've lost 8 pounds. I make sure to stay under 1500 calories daily and my tummy is nearly flat. My FH can't keep his hands off me lol.

Hi I think it’s a pretty sexy and beautiful dress but have you thought of getting one that makes you feel confident and sexy? Maybe it’s too late to return this one but I bet you can find an affordable one maybe on sale that fits you comfortably. If this is definitely the only dress you want, maybe you can have it let out, add a flowy bridal skirt to go over it ( Etsy and some bridal designers sell two piece bridal wear) or find ways to avoid bloating foods in your diet.

I got this one on sale at David’s Bridal and it’s too late to return it, I’m going to talk to the seamstress to maybe let the tummy out a little

If you don't/can't/don't want to lose weight, just have the sheer part lined with a nude or white fabric and wear Spanx. Nobody but you will ever know it looked differently. If you want to change your health and lifestyle: great. If not, that's great too. I'm slender but my tummy bloats even though I eat healthy, so I feel your pain girl. You might also try It Works/"that crazy wrap thing". I don't think you could tape your tummy, but there are ways to work around it, don't worry.

I think Spanx might make you feel more supported, if you'd like. Just a little pulled together. 😊 But have you considered you may have bloating due to what you eat (not how much)? Maybe write down a general list of what you've been eating lately and then how you feel after. It could be dairy or starches...? I only suggest this because you said you've tried working out and dieting but you're still feeling bloated. Just know that bloating is normal, but if it's really bad it can be related to some kind of food intolerance. ❤️ I'm also wondering how I'm gonna eat like a normal human during dinner then continue wearing a tight fitting white dress! 😅

But side note that you look awesome even if you feel bloated! Buuuut I know if you feel insecure or bloated that's not nice either. ❤️

Your dress is gorgeous! And I think you look lovely....but I understand where you’re coming from. We are our own worst critics when it comes to our bodies. I’ve been using Beachbody on Demand programs to tone up my arms for my wedding because I hated the way they looked in my dress. And with everything still limited or closed, all my summer motivators are gone. Who needs to worry about bikini season? I have until November to get it together 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️
I had to make some adjustments to my diet because of bloat. I had to cut out dairy to get that under control. And we won’t even address period bloat. Makes me feel like a baby beluga.
At the end of the day, if you feel good about yourself, that will permeate everything. Take care of yourself consistently and the results will follow. It’s difficult some days to find that positivity but just know your fiancé is going to be floored when you walk down that aisle.

Your wedding is still a year a head. You have time to exercise and do a diet plan. Good luck! 💪🏻

I think you are gorgeous!! Why do we as women feel the need to nitpick certain areas of our body and think it needs to fit a particular measurement/look rather than appreciating all the positives that are bodies can do. Yep, I’ve got curves and a belly and my FH can’t keep his hands off me and he tells me regularly that I’m absolutely gorgeous.

Have you tried having an allergy test done? There is a possibility you have an allergy to a certain food. I had one done due to bloating. And found out I was allergic to coffee beans. I stopped drinking coffee and no bloating

For anyone that is triggered by this post and comments, your physical appearance is not the only thing that makes you worthy! You do not have to restrict your diet to look beautiful on your wedding day! You do not need to be miserable for months to have one fun night that you look 'perfect'. Spend time loving your body while maintaining healthy habits! If you can't learn to love your body you still won't love it at a different physique. 💗
