Girl, first class is nice!! You won't be crammed in and you can eat & drink! Have a mimosa at the airport and a glass of wine on the plane! You'll be fine!! Have fun!

PS I get anxiety on the subway, it helps to have a good book that I am really into!

Oh also! Peppermint is known to help stop anxiety. Have some gum on hand!

Go to your doctor and get some valium. Trust me...you won't care what's going on around you.

I hate flying too, and find that having an aisle seat helps will the anxiety. I second the valium Smiley smile

I freak out on planes as well with anxiety. Definitely go to your doctors and get some valium, it's the only way I'll fly.

You'll be in first class too! More room and less people.

I hate it too. I usually just suck it up but I'll probably medicate myself before the honeymoon flight. Lol

My girlfriend's mom gets some time released pill from her dr that knocks her out when they take off and she comes back around when they land. Smiley smile you might want to see if there's something like that for you

Once I'm on the plane and buckled, I'm fine, but in the last few days leading up to a trip, nerves.

You'll be fine and first class sounds wonderful. Make sure you take your hot towel (Wedding Singer anyone?)

I was thinking about going to see the doctor and telling him, and seeing if he could give me something to help. So that is good advise.

Im absolutely terrified. I think Id like sleeping pills as opposed to anything, like Any V. said .. pass out, and wake up when Im there would be ideal. Maybe Ill just put some nyquil in my bag and drink some like an hour before hand, lol. ugh, i hate this anxiety, its sucks!

FutureMrs.MacC. - have you flown before or just fear of heights?

Aside from medication there are other things you can do. When a person gets anxious, breathing becomes more shallow and you get less oxygen into your system. If you consciously try to breath real deep, that will automatically calm you down. It will slow all of the mechanisms that are triggering the anxiety.

Now, to have that Xanax pill in your pocket is like insurance...

This approach is better if you want to address the anxiety - if you just want to get to your honey moon, then take the pill.

Although you might want to experience first class consciously; it is pretty nice! Smiley winking

I hear ya- I have had full on, freak out panic attacks on planes before. I can't do it. I go to the docs and get some xanax before long flights. I also strongly suggest noise cancelling headphoens- I finally got some for out 10 hour flight to Hawaii and it calms me soooo much- you dont even know you're on a plane!

My BFF has serious flying anxiety. Her Dr wrote her a note so she could bring her dog with her to sit on her lap. LOL now her puppy goes everytime she does. haha

Ooh you're in first class, jealous. Just have a few complimentary cocktails!

My fiance hates flying too, he's going to have to take anti-anxiety meds before our honeymoon flight.

@Julie A.- You are so right, terrified and honeymoon should be two things in the same thought. I'm def going to see my doctor.

@Gabriele- I have a HUGE fear of heights, and as for why Im afraid of the plane, Im literally scared to crash and die. I don't want to die, just married, happy, with my whole life ahead of me. I have so much I'm looking forward to, and if something happens, i have no say, power, or control.. I just have to.. crash.. and die. *feels the knots start to develop throat as this is typed*
