I'd choose Halloween. It is my favorite holiday and I love going all out decorating the house and yard and creating my own costumes every year. I tried to convince FH that we should do a Halloween wedding but, he wanted something a bit more traditional.

We got married on the weekend before the Fourth of July, so that somewhat answers that. I think I'd pick Labor Day if it had to be an actual holiday - the Fourth is pretty hot here, and Labor Day usually has beautiful weather (though it still can be hot). Memorial Day can be rainy or cold, which rules that out for me. (We love the summer.)

My side of the family is really into the fall/winter holidays - Thanksgiving and Christmas - and wouldn't be too happy if I tried to claim one of those for our wedding date, I think. lol

Edit: Just took the quiz and got St. Paddy's Day. H is 100% Irish, so I don't know how his family would feel about that. It's also 5 days before his birthday (and a few weeks before mine), and we'd want to space it out more than that.

Halloween - Without question. It is cold and dark. I wouldn't do a Halloween theme because that isn't really my style but I guess I relate more to this than something like Valentines Day or Easter where everything is happy and bright and colorful.
I am actually getting married 2 days after Halloween. My colors are black, grey and white.

Dream wedding is NYE, 1st kiss at midnight with brunch-ish food for a bit after.
Its always been a dream of mine.
But when reality came I realized that it would be a hassle so ditched the idea and were getting married 2.5 weeks later on 1/19.
I brought up NYE immediately after I signed the venue contract and the lady said I'll tear it up if and we'll make a new one if you want but you need to decide right now. It was hard to not rip it to pieces but the realistic part of me won. Haha

I think you made a good choice all things considered, but your dream wedding does sound beautiful. Maybe you and your FS can celebrate your last NYE as an engaged couple privately that way Smiley love

I would choose Juneteenth (For cultural reasons I prefer Juneteenth over Independence day as a holiday) bc I think it would be dope to celebrate & have an ancestral theme or New Years Eve to have a black tie affair & it also gives the extended week since some ppl have that day off & the 1st.

Halloween! We're getting married on November 1, 2019, and having our rehearsal dinner on Halloween. I have more decoration & dessert ideas for the rehearsal than I do for the wedding!

I wanted a Christmas wedding, loved red and gold, family, everyone’s happy, everything’s already decorated, coziness, candlelight. But we’re going to do thanksgiving and then do a Christmas honeymoon . Still sticking with red and gold and candlelight.

    Oh, totally Halloween. 🕷🕸💀🎃
I’d have so much fun doing that decor. Ugh. My venue would have been so good for it too.
Christmas would also be pretty (obviously not have the wedding ON Christmas).

It just so happens that we picked a day that will eventually fall on Labor Day, but if I had to choose I’d love to be married on New Years Eve

We specifically chose St Patty's Day weekend due to our love of all things Irish. Our colors will be gold and emerald. And we'll slip in a few nods to the holiday here and there, but nothing overwhelming. I was pleased to see the quiz agreed with our plan!

"You're a complete happy-go-lucky couple! There's no better holiday to host a wedding than on St. Patrick's Day—here's hoping for a rainbow to appear during your portrait session."

The quiz said Thanksgiving, which is fitting because it's my favorite holiday! I would actually have loved Thanksgiving wedding if it were feasible. We did get married on a holiday - Bastille Day. Okay, so it's not an American holiday, but I love all things French, so it was also fitting and a date I would easily remember.
