If you became pregnant before your wedding....

Lets assume you got pregnant in time to be saying "I do" with an enormous belly, what would you do? Would you still get married like planned, maybe a new dress to look better with a big belly? Or would you move your wedding to a different date? I don't know why I keep thinking about this but I think...

I don't know why I keep thinking about this but I think one of my biggest worries (rational or not Smiley winking ) would be to get pregnant right now. Nevertheless, I am pretty sure I would still have the wedding and not move it. I would be ok with waddling down the aisle...

What about you ladies?

Celibacy, abstinence.... Whatever you want to call it. In my case it's never been a possibility, thankfully.

I have the same fear! If it does happen I wouldn't change the date and accept it! Having a child is a blessing and our families would be excited as well!! I would just change my dress if I would be showing by then. Smiley smile

I got pregnant right after getting engaged. I had morning sickness from conception to birth. We probably would have not put the wedding off if I weren't so sick the whole time. We ended up getting married when our daughter was close to 18 months old. We were so happy to have her, the rest simply did not matter.

We would deal. Still have ceremony, probably throw the reception later. Hopefully my dress would still fit. If I got pregnant NOW, I'd probably have a bit of a bump...but maybe not...my girlfriend was 6 mos, closer to 7 before she started showing and then she POPPED

My wedding is next week and I will be 6 months pregnant. We have been engaged and planning our wedding for 2 yrs, so when I first found out I was pregnant I was scared and overwhelmed. My fiancé was very excited, so it did make me feel better. We decided to keep it a secret and surprise our guest at the wedding by announcing the pregnancy. Everything was booked and paid for including my dress so there was no changing the date. Fitting into my dress was a big concern the last few months because I really love my dress and I couldn't afford to buy another one. Luckily my bump just started to show about week ago and u can't even tell Im pregnant in my dress! I decided to add a corset in the back just so I can feel more comfortable since my belly is still growing. Overall Im ecstatic about the wedding and can't wait to share the news of the new addition to our family! :-)

Welp! We just found out we're pregnant and we are at the beginning stages of planning our wedding. We both want a wedding, but my family is pressuring me to change my plans all together. We both still want a wedding. I'm not cancelling or moving our date because I will still have 3 months to find a dress after the baby comes.

    Good evening Chloe!
Were you afraid that your relatives would look at you differently because you followed an untraditional path? Can you tell me the pros and cons of a pregnancy after an engagement versus one after the wedding?

    Thanks a lot in advance!Michela

Thank you for your honesty! I was waiting for someone to admit this. I think I would too.
