Ideas.. or what are you doing for your reception entrance?

Our wedding party and us are coming into the Reception to "We Are the Champions" by Queen and being introduced like basketball players... college basketball style. It's the opening song to my alma mater boys basketball team.

Oh that is such a cool idea! Are you guys using any props or accessories?

I didn't think about any props! We're very limited on space in the reception venue, so I'm not sure if we'll do anything fancy. I like the idea of sunglasses though.

No props.. honestly it's such a short part of the reception experience, that there's really no need for it if you're looking from a budgeting perspective. If you've got the extra money to blow, then go for it! We just all came in to the instrumental version of John Cena's entrance song and SIL surprised DH with a recording of Merrill Reese (Eagles announcer) reading off the bridal party's and our names. That was enough excitement!

FH has picked out songs for each pair/parent/ & ourselves to walk into - its one of the things I could care less about when it comes to the reception. I want it to be short & sweet so we can get the rest of the formalities out of the way and start the party.

Nope, we are just having the DJ announce us to whatever background music. Haven't decided on that yet.

You're welcome! Make sure you get a photographer/videographer on your end of the entrances so you can capture FH's reaction.. my DH nearly talked the whole way through because he was thanking the caterers, DOC, cutting up with his groomsmen.. I eventually had to shush him and whisper-shout "LISTEN!!!!!" so he wouldn't miss it hahaha

Yeah you guys are right it is such a small part of the wedding. Plus I definitely don't have money to go all out. With great at other ideas though.

Our wedding party came in with sun glasses, boa's, tiara's, masks etc. all from our photo booth. It definitely lightened the mood for them since they were all a bit nervous being introduced. They had fun.
