Ideas for Wedding Welcome Gathering

Brides, my fiancé and I are having a hard time determining what we will do for our Welcome Gathering the day before the wedding. We don’t want to do a “dinner” since our guests will be eating WELL at the reception 😊😊. Can anyone give us some different ideas besides going for pizza or welcome bags? We just want to do something simple but the restaurants here have a high food and beverage minimum so we are looking for different ideas!! Help! Thanks

Are you staying in a hotel room/suite? Maybe you can just have people come over there and serve champagne and some inexpensive snacks (fruit/veggie platter, cheese and crackers, etc)

Hey, thanks for responding. We won’t go into our suite until the night of the wedding. If we were in the e suite, that would be a good idea.

We did Publix catering for pretty cheap - chicken tenders and sides, s’mores and games

Ah got it, no way you could get it a night earlier too? It would probably be cheaper than renting a room somewhere, plus no food and beverage minimum!

My suite isn’t big enough but I asked the hotel if they had a room we could use. $200 and we can bring in food just not booze. Well get trays of sandwiches and salad from Costco.

The hotel where our room blocks were let us rent out a small banquet room to have our welcome dinner in! We ordered a bunch of our favorite foods from local places (pizza, wings, roast beef sandwiches, salad), and got local beer/wine and it was so much fun!
