Ideas for incorporating my truck into wedding?

Priscilla, on December 27, 2021 at 12:19 PM Posted in Planning 0 12
Hi! My fiancé and I met when he sold me my truck 5 years ago and we’d like to incorporate it somehow into our wedding. We wanted to take our engagement pictures with the truck but that didn’t happen (long story). We might still have one of our parents take some pics of us with the truck…but we’d love any other ideas. Maybe like have the image of the truck as the cake topper or something? I’d love to hear any thoughts you may have! Thanks a bunch. ☺️

The cake topper sounds super cute! We're getting clay figurines made of our dogs to put on the cake, maybe you can find someone to make a truck? Is your truck going to be at your venue where you're taking photos? You can have pictures taken in/around it there.

The cake topper sounds really cute! If you do end up having pictures taken with the truck prior to the wedding, you could put up a framed photo at the reception. You could also use the truck as your “get away vehicle” for your grand exit (if you plan on having one). Or have the truck put on a grooms cake.

If it’s a flat bed and your venue is outsideIdeas for incorporating my truck into wedding? 1

, you could use it as a drink station or other surface. Would be super cute.

I would definitely use it as a cake topper, thats so cute!

You could also use it to arrive or as a grand exit/get away car at the end of the night. It could also be funny to list the truck as the "matchmaker" on your website/programs or have your officiant mention it. You could also get a license plate that is the same as the trucks to have guests sign as the guest book, haha!

One more idea… you could decorate the truck and put some sort of sign in/on/next to it that has “The Smith Wedding” (or some other cute/funny wedding sign) with your wedding hashtag, and use it as a photo op for your guests!

Ooh, I love the idea of getting a miniature model of your truck to use as a cake topper! You could also have the truck parked at/near your ceremony site with decorations and a sign to welcome guests to your wedding (or with a sign to describe the truck's significance to your relationship). Or, you could use it as a getaway car to drive off in after your reception, or even as a way to arrive to your ceremony. You could also use it to take your wedding photos in after your ceremony.

I love the cake topper idea! I don't know anything else to incorporate but there is an episode of My Fair Wedding called "Mini Truck Bride" where a bride wanted a wedding-themed around mini trucks. Maybe give it a peek and see if any inspiration hits. I looked it up and it's season 4 episode 7.

My son and his now wife used his old antique truck for a phot area and people loved it. They got married in the Fall and it was outside so they used lots of mums and flowers In the area. For my daughters wedding they rode to the ceremony location (also outside) in his uncle antique truck. Just a few thoughts other than a cake topper which is also nice.

I love this so much! OP, this would be an amazing option if pretty much any part of your event is outside.

My favorite after party of any wedding I’ve attended was in someone’s backyard, after a formal wedding, where some relatives pulled up with a truck full of local beer from the couples’ home towns - that in the middle, twinkly lights, and a speaker with good music made for many hours of a great party!
