I’m looking for ideas for at a public park if it was to rain. I’m not scared of rain or care about getting my outfit wet (but more the guest since they are older) we will have about 15-20 guest.
Tents cannot be more then 20x20ft. Would this be silly to have?
I know for a light drizzle we could possibly do umbrellas?

I don’t think it’s a silly move- sometimes umbrellas just don’t cut it, especially with the order adults. If they are walking with canes, trying to hold onto an umbrella could cause an accident.

I would get maybe two tents just to be safe.

I think having a tent or two as a back-up plan is a really smart idea! (And it will hopefully give you some peace of mind and ease your inclement weather stress!)
Like Michelle said, sometimes umbrellas just don't cut it! ☔

Does the park allow tents? Do they have a covered shelter?

I would definitely have a tent or two as a backup just in case of rain. As several PPs mentioned, sometimes umbrellas just won't cut it

Do the tent and make it quick so the elders don't have to stand long if they all have to fit. Such a beautiful spot!

Most tent rental places are saying they don’t do the short 4 hr time slot. Maybe 10x10 tent that we use for camping if all else fails and it rains that day? 🤷🏻‍♀️I’m not looking to be elegant or anything

Can someone be on tent duty? like an uncle or something with a tent from a place like Walmart or something, and just throw it up for the ceremony if it does start to rain?
