Ideas for a Fall/winter, Midnight Starry Sky meets Rustic Christmas Vibe!!

Madison, on November 1, 2022 at 1:59 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 7

It's kinda Fall/Winter vibe, it's going be like a Midnight Starry Sky meets Rustic Christmas. Not sure of all the details yet, but our colors are different shades of blue, Slate Blue, Midnight, Dusty Blue, also using Burgundy, Rose Gold, Silvers and Golds with a little bit of white and greenery mixed in.

Hi! I'm having a celestial themed December wedding. Your ideas sound so romantic and gorgeous. I love that you're incorporating so much color. I think it broadens your options for décor and design.

If you want to include actual Christmas items, I would suggest hitting up sales after this year's holiday season. You could also choose pine garlands as your greenery. Candles work for Christmas and starry sky themes, and rustic vibes, and candle-heavy centerpieces are a cheaper alternative to flowers. I have so many ideas, I adore winter weddings and I knew that's what I wanted as soon as I got engaged. You can message me if you want! Happy planning!

That's awesome that we are kinda having the same theme. Also what date in December are you having your wedding? Plus I never did think of using a lot of candles instead of flowers that's an awesome idea. Plus that will save me some money on flowers, because I was only going to use flowers for everyone in the wedding party and using flowers on my arch or around the arch and the sweetheart table. What are some of your ideas for your wedding? Because I really don't have a lot ideas right now, just have flowers and colors picked out.

Our date is 12/30/23, so the day before New Years Eve. I campaigned for a NYE wedding but unfortunately lost that fight... it's for the best though, because many vendors are more expensive on holidays and/or aren't available.

Yes, candles are cheaper, and you can also steadily acquire them throughout your planning process! I like the idea of candlelight because it matches our moody vibe, and because flowers just aren't the focus of our day. Same as you, I'm doing flowers for our bridal party and hopefully a floral installation.

My overall goal is to throw a wedding full of personal touches, to really express our personalities. Even if it's little things that no one will catch but us and our close friends. We're also ignoring tradition in a lot of ways. Like, we're having a Jewish wedding but we're writing our own vows. (I don't know if many/most Jewish couples do this, but it is not the norm in our family.) Neither of us are wearing any shade of white.

I think we're really lucky to be getting married in a time when wedding norms are changing.

I totally agree that wedding norms are changing and so glad that they are. I am somewhat traditional but not all the way. My fiancé and I are simple down to earth people, but we want to have a somewhat traditional wedding but with a twist. That’s how we went with a Midnight Starry Sky / Christmas Night wedding. Because he likes blues, reds, and golds, and I like blues, greens, and silvers. So that’s why we wanted a romantic but glam with a pop of color. That’s why we are having a bunch of candles instead of flowers. Because having a bunch of candles remind me of a lit night sky by the stars. I’m so ready to see it all put together.

Maybe some navy velvet bridesmaid dresses and/or some champagne string lights (if possible)
