Not worth it. We're doing ice cream and like pp it's $450 for 1 hour. The only thing you can serve for $25 is air & sprinkles.

Can you explain how you coupon and shop? Extreme couponing fascinates me. I usually don't have the patience to even look for coupons or remember to bring them to the store.

What kind of awful icecream can you get for less than a buck a tub?

How many people are you having?

To me $25 wouldnt buy toppings for a properly done bar

Yes, I have done an ice cream bar, and it was a total pain. I absolutely wouldn't recommend it. It was for a work function, and it was almost impossible to keep the ice cream cold enough not to melt; and you can't have it too hard to scoop. Then I found it would get melty on the scoop handle and I had disgusting sticky hands from scooping for people. Then I'd hand off the ice cream bowl with my nasty sticky hands to the person----yeah no. Absolutely NOT for a wedding.

ETA: Ice and a cooler will not keep it at the right temperature. You need a freezer or lots and lots of dry ice.

You can't have that ice cream price right. Manufacturers would be out of business if they sold tubs of ice cream for fifty cents. I would double check that. Something must have gotten lost in the translation.

Who is this supplier? Inquiring minds want to know. What's the quality of the ice cream? The other ladies are paying $450 for ice cream bars, and to me, that sounds quite reasonable.

Angela- welp sorry. Not all, what your doing is awesome.

The two ladies who I know have rooms and rooms with piles of stuff they are never going to use. They don't donate it. That's the difference.

Extreme couponers are the worst shoppers. They literally ruin it for everyone.

At $0.50 a tub, is it even ice cream or is legally "frozen dairy product"?

You know, that stuff you can leave overnight on the counter and still won't be melted in the morning.

You lol at the "have a non-dairy option" but for real though. Have a non-dairy option. Lactose intolerance sucks ass. Have some sherbet or some sorbet. A bowl of ice cream puts me in the bathroom with intense stomach pains and diarrhea for a good two hours.

If its from the dollar store its going to be some generic brand. I don't think it would be any quality product.

Punkin Beer -- do tell! My only fear is getting behind one of them online because, as usual, two lanes are open and one is express.

Angela- I love free stuff too. I like coupons and deals too. I also keep backups of stuff, shop at Costco. I also like donating.

Sorry that it rubbed you the wrong way. I wish more couponers used their hobby for positive like you. But if you watch a lot of the shows (and my personal experience), its just a "look how much I have stockpiled" mentality.

@Angela if you aren't "extreme" then that wasn't directed at you.

Why is it that on every thread there's always one person that gets offended by a meme, or a joke that wasn't even directed to them?

Lighten up. Go outside; go play with your mounds of almost free dog food!

Not to be pedantic, but Breyers is *not* ice cream. I'm very passionate about this.

Sorry Angela! Didn't mean to ruin your day.

I use to love Breyers but ever since they did this switch, I haven't bought them.

It's only Wegmans brand or Ben & Jerry's now.

I say, if you serve Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia, I don't care what you paid for it. I'm hanging out right next to it with a serving spoon.
