I want to frame my wedding gown...help!

Future Mrs. Dzw..., on July 10, 2014 at 4:32 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12

My wedding gown is probably the most expensive article of clothing I will ever buy, and I LOVE it! So, I would like to frame it and enjoy it beyond my wedding day. I don't want it to look creepy, so I don't want the full length framed...more like the attached pictures. Do any of you know where I can have this done? I know I can go to standard framing shops, but they don't necessarily have experience with wedding gowns. Any suggestions?

I would say look at having it preserved--I know some places, like DB, will clean and preserve your gown for you in a box that is clear on top. That way you can see it arranged beautifully, whenever you want. I can't tell if you're thinking about hanging it up on a wall or something...as a guest in your home, I would find that pretty strange. But if you're having it in a closet and want it clean and pretty, I think pretty much any storage service would do that.

Kinda creepy. But you could just find a glass frame that is deep enough at any frame store and do it yourself.

@Jenn - I plan to hang it on a large wall in my home. I'm also having a shadow box made with my preserved bridal bouquet, my FH's boutonniere, our wedding invitation, etc.

Here is an Amazon search for it. Nothing came up related to wedding, and I never thought about Jersey shadow boxes! Here is the listing. They may or may not work depending on how poofy your dress is.

There is a place in Arizona (items can be shipped to them) that does a whole shadowbox - I'll look up the name, can't remember off the top of my head.

I saw a really cool photo on pinterest where she had it framed in a walk-in closet! I'd love to do that - if I ever get a closet like that haha Smiley smile
