i need help please!

Madhuri, on June 3, 2019 at 10:54 PM Posted in Planning 0 12
Hi everyone! I need major help. So both mine and my fiance' s family refuse to help with anything. So it's just him and I. I'm having a super simple brunch wedding at a beach house. I have a mimosa bar for the morning and light breakfast. Followed by a open bar and buffet style lunch. I have bridesmaids and groomsmen done, wedding favors, both my fiance and my wardrobe, rings, I still need to find a caterer. I don't know if I'm missing anything else. I have hired a event planner to decorate the whole venue, a dj, photographer and officiant, floralist. I've sent out invitations, wedding colors, and day of schedule. My fiance and I are by ourselves in this process. I'm totally lost with not a lot of time to plan.

It sounds like you got it done and figured out. Take a breather and break whenever you feel overwhelmed. I'd say when it comes closer, do an inventory check to make sure you have purchased all you need.
Figure out your seating chart is one of the last line items.

It seems like you're doing beautifully on your own! It hurts to not have the support and help from the families, though. I'm sorry you feel alone - it's an awful feeling! Wishing you the best of luck as you continue planning Smiley heart

Wow, that’s a lot you’ve got done, awesome! Do you have a cake yet? I recommend looking at the checklist on WW, it’s been so helpful. Do you need to go through pre-marital counseling? FH and I live in TX where it’s a requirement to go through some sort of counseling before you get your marriage license.

Hi Yes! I got a 2 for 1. Our event planner makes beautiful tasty wedding cakes. Out here in California its not required to go through counseling. But I bet that easies things thank you for the wonderful suggestion!

I agree with taking a break. I got engaged in May and planned all this in a month. And I get married in September which is in like 3 months. Oh yeah thank you for reminding me about a seating chart.

Sounds like you have a lot done, which is awesome. You said you still need a caterer, which I would find ASAP then relax and figure out the little things.

Yes, that will work if you're doing the flowers yourself (making bouquets, boutennieres, etc.). But if you are looking for a florist, you should start searching now. Many florists book months in advance. But like I said, it depends on how you are doing it. Even with a florist, you won't actually buy your flowers now. You'll just put together an order of what you want, and the flowers will be fresh on the day.
