i need advise about a Father Daughter Dance Song!

Ashley , on July 13, 2018 at 9:33 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 1 4

My dad and I both love Shania Twain and I would love to use one of her songs for us to dance to, but they’re mostly related to loving another man. For example:

“From this Moment”

“Forever and for Always”

“You’re still the one”

Would any of these be okay for a father daughter dance or is that just weird?

Hi Ashley! Yessss I love Shania!! I think it would awesome to dance to one of your favorite artists songs together! I would say out of the three "From This Moment" would be my choice for the dance! But any of the above would be great! Smiley smile

I think "From This Moment" would be the best. The reason I choose this one is because if you listen to the words, it could also mean that the "moment" she is referring to is when a baby was born (aka you in this scenario). It's not weird at all!

Love Shania! It's a little more upbeat but she has a song called "dance with the one that brought you" that could work. Most of her slow songs would be better for a first dance like you said, but I think if the song has a special meaning to you and your dad than any of those would work.

I know you like shania, but if you also like the country aspect, I’m doing Jason Blaine”dance with my daughter.” I feel it’s super appropriate and for me, I’m totally my dad’s little girl. Just another suggestion!
