I know it is popular but when I heard this song a couple months ago, I couldn't believe how well it spoke to him from my heart. I know it is popular but when I heard this song a couple months ago, I couldn't believe how well it spoke to him from my heart. A Thousand Years, it's a secret to him and on that day, the best man will give him ear buds just as I appear, so he can really hear the words spoken just for him, (it's outside) We were high school friends that could have been more but in our day, interracial couples were rare and being friends seemed the best we could do. But he never left my heart and 20 years later we reunited, became a family and are now making it legal in the eyes of the law, God already knew our hearts as I know he played a huge role in joining our hearts forever. So, what and why that song for you?

We have to pick these out haha! I should probably get on that. FH aunt is marrying us and she has requested that it be appropriate music for a 'Christian wedding'. basically saying no pop songs....so apparently I need to get on finding instrumentals..whatevs. Isn't this my wedding ???Ugh...end rant :o)

I am so uncertain about the processional/bridal entrance I think I want them the same. It's between Hallelujah or Canon in D But the recessional is definitely My Lucky Day by Gaelic Storm.

My processional was In the Aeroplane Over the Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel. I was so pissed because my DOC had my BMs walking way too far apart, so the song had to be played twice! Oh well!

Bridal Entrance: There is a Light by Great Lake Swimmers (made DH cry!)

Recessional: The Throne Room Song from Star Wars

Are the actual lyrics being sung for the procession/bridal entrance or just is just the music playing with no words?

Omg Allison!!!!! I just had heard this one man on you tube sing Over The Rainbow on a ukelele!!! I listened to him because his presence did not seem at all like what I thought how he would sing it! Unfortunately I think he might have passed, but you have to listen. His singing is so, so beautiful!!!

http://youtu.be/fahr069-fzE His name is Israel Kamakawiwo'ole

I was just thinking Mrs. Valentine, of doing a soul train line! I love you song choices. This thread has been keeping on you tube!!! Thanks for all the comments. I have really enjoyed hearing about the the most fun parts of the celebration..music and dancing with our family and friends!!! This might help some of us out too! I didn't realize how many songs I might need for at different times during the reception. Robin Valentine, you showed me that!

After reading this thread, I can't stop thinking that I would love to have everyone breakout in dance right after we kiss and are announced as man and wife. It's outside around a fountain and I can picture all my family, kids, g-babies and friends just going crazy. I can see everyone dancing with their ribbon wands waving everywhere!!! Don't laugh but the songs "Bust a move" and "Everybody Dance Now" are playing...I think I've went into my memory music closet and want a crazy fun, fun wedding ceremony even before we hit the reception!

Laura, I am dying laughing with your dark and twisty comment. I have always loved Massive Attack (and other trip hop artists). This song just makes sense to me!
