Love it, but I honestly would just leave the pumpkins as is if it were me.

It’s an adorable idea but carved pumpkins rot pretty fast, I wouldn’t carve them any earlier than 3 days from your date if you want them firm.

I agree, I wouldn’t carve them either. Their beautiful like the ones in the picture.

That’s cute and makes it personal. Storage/transport a concern? You could always not carve them, but design with a sharpie. Like wedding colors or gold/silver

Carving party the day beforehand. As Yam said, they rot fast, and if it's anything like around here, the rabbits and squirrels are gonna get to them really quickly.

I've seen online in the past ways of making carved pumpkins last longer, such as dipping them in a bucket of water with bleach mixed through. I've never personally done this, but you could look in to it
