i hate my wedding venue :(

For some background, my fiancé and I have been together for 6 years. We are raising two girls together, one 8 & one 3. We have owned our own home for the last 4 years. This wedding is happening on 2/1 and I have been planning it for only 3 months. I think the inside is cute but the outside is killing me. It in the back of a bar/restaurant and I just hate it so much. I’m almost embarrassed of it.... everyone keeps telling me that it will be fine and that no one cares about the outside.... but I just can’t shake this feeling .
Estimated total number of guests is about 60- & this is including children.

I went to a wedding a few years ago in the backroom of a bar. It was one of the best and most fun weddings I've attended.

I love the wood arches on the inside. The inside looks really nice! Once people get inside and have a good time no one will care. No one in a year later will go "Omg the outside of so sos wedding was so ugly". You will be just fine

You could put up some string lights to give it a bit of a festive feel. Maybe some silk flowers on the railings or something? I'm HORRIBLE about making things pretty so I might be way off here, but I'm sure there are some easy ways to make it marginally better.

The inside looks really nice, i like the beams! I dont think people care too much of what the outside looks like. And if string lights are going up, it will make it look cuter!!

I don't think guests will even remember what the outside looks like. I can't recall the exterior of the building of any wedding I have ever attended.
The inside looks perfect for what you have planned. I love that ceiling!

Savannah don’t hate it!! Your day will be amazing!! I agree with pp to add lighting or luminaries, maybe even a colorful sign if you have a Yard Gypsies in your city. You are raising children so your priorities are on point! Good luck and best wishes!!

Just like in life, it is what on the inside that counts! Your guests will see the outside only as they are coming in and leaving, and even at that, I have seen a lot worse! The inside is really nice! You're totally fine and your wedding will be beautiful!

Yeah I don't think I've ever been to a wedding and thought, "Oh yuck! I'm not going in there! The building is awful!" LOL. I think you're overthinking it. The inside is gorgeous and honestly, there's nothing more cool than a back entrance to a bar. Has a speakeasy feel... maybe you could have everyone say a password before they are allowed inside! It is the 20s after all!

What everyone else said! None of your guests will care about the outside. The inside looks like it has a very warm and inviting vibe. People will love that. As long as the food is good and everyone has a good time thats what matters and what people will remember.

So. We just had this come up during our venue hunt. I found this beautiful ballroom style banquet hall that I loved and FH said he didn’t like the front of the building. He thought our guests would think “wow, that’s it?” When they pulled in. I told him they’d see that for 2 seconds and not care. So if it’s the outside that’s bugging you, don’t stress it too much. The inside is gorgeous with the beams! Even if people DO notice the outside, they’ll forget all about it once they’re inside.

I grew up in a small town and that’s how the outside looked for every wedding I went to. But if you want to jazz it up a bit here’s some of my thoughts. Luminaries (bags with sand and candles) I bought white ones that are sort of crinkly at Michaels that say forever and always. You can do it with plain bags. Lights the walkway. You could add bows or tulle to railing outside. Even balloons might be fun. Glow sticks or lighting on rails. On the inside can you cover the tv with a picture or add a video reel with you and fiancé? And move the trash can.

It is not a bad looking place the outside does not matter. With some nice decorations on the inside it will be beautiful.

Couldn't tell you what the outside of my cousin's venue looked like. It was cold. We hurried inside.
