I fell in love with a dress... BUT no one likes it

I think it is a beautiful dress! If it makes you happy, then rock the crap out of it! I would be a little jealous even.. I tried one on similar and just couldn't move.

This is so fun! You look great in it, and if you love it, that's what matters most!

Just take your mom dress shopping, that's what i did. Too many opinions drown out yours.

I like the top. Can they puff the bottom down a little? It's swallowing you up.

It's your choice. Wear what you want to wear. Don't listen to others. Haters gonna hate.

My only recommendation is be sure that you believe in 20 years you'll still love it (and not think "what was with the mermaid cut back then?"). If you think you will, go for it.

When I went to pick my wedding dress, the first thing my sister told me (who got married 9 years ago) was to take as few people as possible and to get what I want no matter what - even if it's scary or seems too "out there". I wouldn't wear your dress because that's just not me, but it looks so good on YOU! That is why no one can tell you or should tell you what's best for your day. Everyone has a different style. My sister said her biggest regret was not getting a less traditional but beautiful dress she really wanted. She went for the expected ball gown with a train and she now she wishes she had just gone for it. I'm telling you this so you won't have dress regrets! Everyone likes to put in their opinion and they have good intentions when they do it, but you're the one who will be wearing it. My experience was similar, I only took my best friend and mom but I hardly thought of what I liked when I tried things on because I immediately was looking to see what their reaction was. If I could do it again, I wouldn't take anyone with me.

And you'd pull it off amazing. You're fortunate to have a beautiful figure that makes the dress flatter you, I think any dress would look great so you have more choices and if this is what you like, don't let anyone talk down about it.

It fits you very well--I second the suggestion to make sure you can sit down, though. You don't want any last-minute surprises!

And I think if the tulle was toned down a little it would look a little less like it was exploding. But if you're going for a dramatic look, you certainly got it!

Go with YOUR gut. It's your day and you don't want to regret it. If it would set your mind at ease you could do a little more shopping just to see if you find anything else you fall in love with. And if you don't, then you have your answer and can go back to the original dress you loved.

You are a beautiful girl with a very nice figure! I agree that you should go with what makes you feel HAPPY and BEAUTIFUL! The bottom of the dress is too much for me and I love similar dresses, but with slightly less poof. I think your bridesmaids are giving you their honest opinion but ultimately it is YOUR day!

I like your dress the bottom might be the part they don't like much.. But like all the ladies had said if you love it and feel happy with it. Then do it it's your wedding.

I think it's lovely. If you're comfortable in it, if you're in love with it, then I think you just found yourself a dress. Remember whose wedding it is.

If you think it's the dress, and it fits the vision you have for your wedding - get it anyway! I caved to pressure of a FMIL for my first wedding and regretted it more than I regretted marrying into her family...

I think it's beautiful and fits beautifully. It comes down to how much do you value others opinions. If you feel beautiful and special in the dress that's what matters most.
