I don't want a bachelorette party..am I the only one?

My MOH knows I don't want to get trashed. It's never been my thing. What about a spa day or something?

You could still have one and not get drunk ! Even if it's a simple girl's mani/pedi day? Or a massage day. Wine tasting. Painting with a twist. There's lots of options other than getting super hammered.

I second the above posters- a bachelorette party doesn't require you to get black out drunk. I have a friend who is getting married this year but didn't want anything crazy- we are going to a few vineyards for a little bit of class drinking, then heading to the spa for manis/pedis before dinner at her favorite sushi place! It's just a day for her to spend time with her girls and be the center of attention, not a day to drink.

I definitely want one, but I will not be getting shit-faced! I want to enjoy the night without the feeling of dizziness and/or nausea and i certainly don't want to wake up feeling like shit!!

Bachlorette party does not mean you have to get wasted. A couple of girl friends (the single ones, who are not in my wedding party) voiced how they wanted to go to Vegas and stripclubs, and get $hit-Faced. I just cringed, I don't like the idea of spending (and asking others to spend) a bunch of money, and/or get wasted.

I just told them that I wanted somethng calm and quint like dinner and a sleepover.

I want a "girls night out". I don't drink and really neither do my BM's. 1 is even underage at just 20. We are doing a painting thing, then maybe a comedy club, and dinner I would think. NO strippers, ( I am a nurse, men's junk does not excite me, well except for hubbs). After 20 months of dealing with my sick father who recently passed, I am ready to have a girls night out, not worrying about him.

I didn't want a traditional one, so BM's took me to the Fringe festival (focused on live performances, plays etc), and it was awesome.

There are plenty of things you can do that don't involve getting black out drunk! Those painting class things are all over the place and look like tons of fun. Or spa days, a day at the beach, or even a really nice dinner out.

Of course, if you just don't like the idea of a bachelorette party in general, you definitely don't have to do one!

Neither myself nor my FH had one. You have 100% control over getting trashed though lol.

Same here! I do not really care for one. I'm not a party person, I would rather go to the spa or have a nice girls day out.

My bachelorette party was more of a "bachelorette day", which was perfect for me. We went out to lunch, then went to the beach for the afternoon and then back to one BM's house where we made daiquiris and watched a movie and ate delicious mini-quiches for dinner. There was also a plan to make popcorn balls and fondue, but we fell asleep..

I'm not a big drinker and one of my BMs was underage and another is Mormon so doesn't drink. This was also the Friday before my Sunday wedding, so no one wanted to do anything crazy because everybody had stuff to do the next day and then we had the rehearsal and RD that afternoon. My mom actually called me at 8 am to find out when I was coming back to my parents'.

I don't want anything like that either. I am not one to go out and drink to get drunk. So I asked that it just be a great girls day out. Just some mani pedi's and fun with my girls. Not anything involving strippers or the "typical" bachelorette party. I am glad to see other women feeling the same thing.

I don't want one either. I'm hardly drink, so to go out for the full intent to drink doesn't sound appealing to me. My sister is throwing me a bridal shower Saturday and that's really all I prefer. We're having it at a local spot that features local artists, musicians and fantastic coffee! I'm looking forward to that. (I think I may have just shown my age with this comment.) >.<

When my friend got married we took her out to brunch, beach, lunch/bar then back to my house - Got ready then went dancing and drank some more...It was so much fun and she got wasted!! Her and her MOH were taking turns puking on my toilet and her MOH fell asleep half naked in my bathtub! Lol great memories. We laugh every time we talk about it.

I had one, but i didnt want the theme to be drinking. We had sushi and went to a kareoke place. I was in bed at a normal time with no hang over the next day. You can still do something fun without getting drunk and still call it a bachelorette

I'm with you. I don't want one either. LIke Janeen and her 2 day away husband to be...FH and I both wont be doing one.

We are having a couples shower in March and my MOH is throwing me a Bridal/Lingerie shower at the end of March. That's about it. I think the guys may go golfing or the gun range the day of the wedding (weather permitting) but no "Night out on the town" for us.

I've never been a drinker so I don't want the typical one. I would rather just do a spa day (facials, mani, pedis, etc) since we all need that before the wedding anyway! I don't know how FSIL's will feel about this since they are big partners but oh well, it's my day!
