I don't have my "Something Borrowed"!!

Kristi, on July 16, 2012 at 12:51 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 21

One of my BM's asked me what my "Something Borrowed" was and I can't believe I spaced on this! At this point, I have everything I need and I can't think of anything I can borrow.

Any ideas?

@ Kristi- I don't have anything borrowed either. I'm at a loss too, anxious to see the other ladies chime in with ideas!

I was thinking it could be something as simple as a safety pin that I pin under my dress, but I am hoping to get some better ideas! haha

I am borrowing a hankie from my friend who was married a month before me. She didn't end up crying like she thought so it's snot free and is very pretty.

You could borrow a a small brooch or pin and place it your bouquet, if you're ears are pierced more than once maybe a small pair of your BF's earrings, a small hairpin/clip that you could put in your hair, a small white purse to use that day....

I borrowed an antique pearl necklace from a close family friend. Not sure what I would have done if I didn't use jewelry...

Sue P had some great ideas...

Do you have a sixpence? Maybe someone can lend you one and that can cover two bases at once Smiley smile

I would borrow some sort of pin/brooch and pin it anywhere on you or your bouquet. Or consider a hanky or ribbon for your flowers too.

I'm going to borrow my godmother's diamond earrings.

I also thought of using my mom's garter or jewelery form a BM.

My Mom had a ribbon belt on her wedding dress and I'm going to use that to tie my bouquet!

I borrowed a necklace from my sister. When I was a MOH for a friend, she borrowed part of some earrings I had - there was a circle of small diamonds that was designed to go around a diamond stud so she borrowed just the circles for the day since she already had diamond studs to wear.

I don't have a something borrowed either, I may ask my mother to borrow a ring if I don't come up with something else.

I don't have anything borrowed either. I was hoping a friend who is married already would have a pretty hairpin or broach I could secure in my hair.
