I can't pick out a wedding ring!!

Veronica, on December 7, 2017 at 11:07 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 16

We have shopped a few places, and I have looked at countless pictures, but I just haven't found a ring I like. I want something unique and petite, not too flashy. I'm not a fan of pave bands. I would like to spend less than $1,000 on my wedding band. Any advice from brides that have been successful in finding unique wedding bands? My engagement ring is a 1 carat solitaire, white gold. Thanks ladies!

Small local jeweler often have supplier books that they can order from and custom set. If they are buying an empty setting it shouldn't be really expensive if you don't want a lot of stones.

I have a solitaire e-ring and went for a straight diamond eternity band.

Blue Nile! My engagement ring is from there so I think we are going to look there for the bands for me and FH! Also, fast shipping, great prices, and great customer service!

I had a local jeweler make mine! It was only about $400 but I wanted as simple as I could get. No diamonds or anything. Just the rose gold band.

I had no idea what I wanted but going to the jeweler and just testing different styles with my e-ring was really helpful.

If you don't find the right ring, you can always talk to a local jeweler about your options for designing a custom band. My e-ring has a lot of curves in it and we went this route to get a band that could follow the shape of my e-ring. With diamonds along the top of my band, it was still under $1000.

Robbins Brothers, Brilliant Earth and Etsy are all strongly recommended by me.

How unique are you looking for? My wedding band is a diamond-cut white gold band. It has a little bit of sparkle from the way it's cut, but no extra stones.

Are there any local jewelers near you? You may find an estate piece that you love, or they could show everything they're able to order.

I had the same problem. I ended up still getting something simple. I really didn't want to take away from the engagement diamond. I added 2 bands because it didn't feel balanced otherwise. It helped going to try things on in the store.

Here is what I did with mine. I didn't want the diamond to blend in with the band

I also have a 1ct white gold ering. I opted for just a plain white gold wedding band the same mm as my ering. I got mine from James Allen for $90.

I got mine on Amazon of all things. I could not find anything that went with my engagement ring so decided to just do a simple wedding band. I wanted it to match my ering (sapphire and diamonds) but was having a really hard time finding anything that was under $1000 that had stones that were big enough for my liking. I got a full eternity band with .75 carats of sapphires and .75 carats of diamonds that appraised for $1500 for $475.
