i bought the wedding dress 2 years ago

And I get married in September. I don't think it fits me because I am heavier. The goal is go back at the weight I had when I bought it.

What should I do, beside lock the fridge? LOL.

I wrote to the shop where I bought it, asking if in case we can have an appointment for like July, the time to lose the weight, and see from there if we have to do any change, but no answer.

So maybe I lose all the weight and no need to do any change?

I have really no idea.

Are you wanting to wear the dress in the future? Have a seamstress change the back to a corset. It's very simple. Unless you have a deep back or very delicate lace, this is doable

I will only wear it in the ceremony and then I am planning to donate it or something.

Deep back + Lace all over. So is not possible to make changes?
I have to lose the weight

Have you tried it on? If not do so. If you confirm it absolutely doesn't fit. I would try talking to a seamstress immediately to know what your options are!

I agree it would be a good idea to schedule a try-on to see where you're at. July is still a few months away, so you do have time to get yourself on a healthy eating and exercise regimen.

UPDATE: I explained the situation to my bridal store, and I don't know if they live on the grind or the pandemic made them really busy, they asked me to come this month (actually appointment is in a couple of hours lol) because then is gonna be busy with all the weddings canceled in the past due to pandemic. Jesus Christ.

Good news is - I tried the dress and it fits me - just the buttons cannot button up - but I am positive that with healthy habits I can button them again.
